CHICKEN SOUP BASE)6 medium red potatoes, cubed2 Cups half & half (the original recipe uses heavy cream, which would be richer, but we made it and calculated the nutritional information using half & half and it was delicious)1 bunch fresh kale, washed well, chopped and tough stems removed<em>*While 2 lbs. of sausage and 1 lb. of bacon are undeniably delicious, if you are watching your calories, 1 lb. of sausage and 1/2 lb. of bacon would be pretty darn good as well.</em>
