Onion Pie with Bacon SO GOOD. This is one of our very favorite pies with a very easy crust. Ed Heth, local author and great cook, liked making this pie when entertaining at his house on the hill. 4 strips bacon, diced 2 large onions, finely diced 1 egg plus 1 egg yolk 1/2 Cup sour cream 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. PENZEYS PEPPER 2 tsp. CHIVES or SHALLOTS 1/2 tsp. WHOLE CARAWAY SEEDS, optional 1/2 Cup. butter (1 stick) 1 Cup flour 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. sugar 2-4 TB. milk
