Irish Soda Bread When we sent our email looking for Irish cooks out into the world, we were thrilled to hear back from Peggy Daly. Not only did she have a little story to share, she also sent us this wonderful recipe. 3 Cups flour 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda 3/4 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 3 TB. sugar 3 TB. butter 1 Cup buttermilk 1 egg, beaten 1 1/2 Cups chopped raisins 2 TB. melted butter 1-2 tsp. sugar. (VANILLA SUGAR or CINNAMON SUGAR would both be delicious)
