Grandma's Great-Aunt's Apple Pie This recipe is as precious as any family heirloom. Joseph Mazur credits this pie crust recipe to the family of an old friend of his wife Jennifer’s family. “The recipe comes from Siberia, Russia, and is at least 100 years old,” says Joseph. “The pie filling is Jennifer’s adaptation of many recipes.” Makes 2 9-inch pie crusts 1/3 Cup butter or margarine (5 1/3 TB.) 2/3 Cup sour cream 2-2 1/4 Cups flour (Jennifer uses unbleached) 7-8 apples 2/3 Cup sugar 2 TB. instant tapioca 1 tsp. PENZEYS CINNAMON 1/4 tsp. GROUND CLOVES 1/4 tsp. GROUND NUTMEG 1 TB. butter, cut into small pieces
