Frying Pan Stew I loved my grandfather dearly, I tagged after him everywhere and would give anything to have him share a meal with me again. This stew always brings him back. The kids all call this just “Curry” and ask for it often. I just remember Grandpa making it with love. Colleen K. 1 lb. ground beef 1 large onion, chopped 1 Cup beef broth (or 1 Cup water mixed with 1/2 tsp. BEEF SOUP BASE) 4 medium potatoes, peeled and chopped or “slabbed (grandpa special touch)off in length-wise slices...about 1 inch wide by 3 inches long and 1/2 inch thick (these cook down and thicken and break up to eat easily)” 1 1/2 Cups water or more - enough to cover so the potatoes cook properly 2 tsp. PENZEYS CURRY 1/2 tsp. GROUND CUMIN 1 TB. flour mixed with 3 TB. water (omit or use 1 TB. cornstarch for gluten free), optional
