Buttermilk Pie This recipe for Buttermilk Pie was sent in by Beatrice Minnis of Julian, California. “Natalie George shared the recipe with me and our community,” says Beatrice. “We all make it at various times for potlucks and fundraisers.” 1 9-inch pie crust (see recipe for our favorite pie crust included here) 3 eggs, beaten 1/2 Cup butter (1 stick), melted and cooled 1 1/2 Cups sugar 1 TB. flour 2/3 Cup buttermilk 1/4 tsp. salt 1 1/2 tsp. PURE VANILLA EXTRACT (Beatrice says, “I use your Double Strength Vanilla with a heavy hand!”) 1 tsp. PURE LEMON EXTRACT 1 tsp. MINCED LEMON PEEL (rehydrate 5 minutes in 1 TB. water) 1 stick butter, cool but not cold 1 Cup flour 1/4 tsp. salt 2-3 TB. milk
