We are looking for a First Shift Maintenance Technician to support our Production Department by maintaining and repairing machinery, troubleshooting mechanical and basic electrical systems, and ensuring smooth equipment operation in our food production facility. Prior experience in maintenance or mechanics is a plus, but not required! If you've worked on cars, taken mechanical courses, or enjoy hands-on problem-solving, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Do:
- Safety – Follow all workplace safety protocols and report concerns to the Machine Maintenance Manager or Safety Department .
- Preventative Maintenance – Perform scheduled maintenance to keep production equipment operating efficiently.
- Reactive Maintenance – Respond promptly to production line calls, diagnosing and resolving equipment issues.
- Equipment Monitoring – Identify and address unusual sounds, movements, or performance issues in machinery.
- Troubleshooting & Repair – Diagnose and repair mechanical and basic electrical issues.
- Component Replacement – Dismantle, install, and replace machine components as needed.
- Equipment Adjustments – Fine-tune machinery for optimal efficiency and performance.
- Regulatory Compliance – Ensure all work aligns with FDA food safety regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Record Keeping – Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks and parts usage through an electronic Work Order Management System.
- Communication – Provide timely updates and feedback to managers.
What We’re Looking For :
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of maintenance experience is preferred, but entry-level candidates with mechanical education or relevant hands-on experience will be considered.
- Basic understanding of electrical controls, schematics, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to work as part of a group, providing and receiving respectful, solution- oriented feedback.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Willingness to adapt and learn new skills.
- Comfortable using Google Docs, Drive, and Gmail.
Highly Preferred Additional Skills
- Experience with vertical packaging machines, auger fillers, conveyors, labelers, and cappers.
- Certified electrician or advanced hands on experience working with electrical components of machines
- Experience facilitating one-on-one or group training.
- Ability to fabricate parts as needed
- Welding and/or soldering experience

Hours: Monday–Friday, 7AM – 3PM (Saturday rotations when needed)
Starting pay: $20–$25 per hour, based on experience.
